About Indiflora
Indiflora specialises in the importation of fresh cut flowers from India and other regions of world. We market our flowers mainly in the wholesale and secondary wholesale markets through out the UK. The flowers are marketed under the Indiflora brand in specially designed aqua packs.
Presently, we are marketing mostly roses with Lilies and other flowers to be added to our portfolio in the coming months of 2008. We have a very wide range of varieties in roses, in 5 main colours i.e. red, pink, yellow, white and orange and a very good bi-colour. Most of our sales are in specialised mixes of 5 colours in different stem lengths I.e. 60 cm, 50 cm and 40 cm. Please go to the products page for more details on the varieties.
We source our flowers from farms in the Pune and Bangalore region of India. All our farms are part of the ethical trading initiative and work hard to improve living standards of the work force. All our flowers are pre-cooled, packed and exported within 24 hours and gets to the markets within 48 hours of harvest thus ensuring a good shelf life for the customers.
Once the flowers arrive at Heathrow they are collected immediately and stored in Cargoflora's state of art facility near Heathrow specially dedicated to flowers. The facility includes 2 large cold stores and a special cold chamber for pre-cooling any shipments received at higher temperatures due to logistical issues. The flowers are then repacked into specially designed aqua packs and transported in refrigerated trucks all over the country on a daily basis.
